Fraunhofer ITEM workshop:"Cell-based in-vitro methods for investigations on biological effects of inhalable compounds"
The Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine ITEM hosts for the very first time a workshop on Cell-based in-vitro methods for investigations on biological effects of inhalable compounds", taking place on November 10th, 2016 at the facilities of Fraunhofer ITEM."This one-day workshop at Fraunhofer ITEM in Hannover, Germany, will give a brief overview on a large range of scientific and practical topics related to this emerging field of in-vitro toxicology, including design of experimental setups, aerosol-related questions, state-of-the-art exposure methods, biological test systems, and regulatory aspects. It is directed towards interested scientists and consultants from academia and industry working in the fields of inhalable/airborne materials, to give them an idea of whether tasks in their specific toxicological/pharmacological area of interest might be improved by application of these in-vitro approaches.
